System requirements
- Windows: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit).
- macOS: macOS 11 Big Sur or later. The universal build runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
- Linux: 64-bit, as
.deb(Debian/Ubuntu) or.rpm(Fedora/openSUSE). - About 15 MB of disk space. No internet connection required to run.
Installing on Windows
The easiest route is the Microsoft Store: it installs in one click and Windows keeps it up to date for you.
If you prefer a direct download, run the .exe installer and follow the prompts. Because that build isn't signed with a paid certificate, Windows SmartScreen may show a “Windows protected your PC” notice — click More info → Run anyway to continue. The .msi is provided for IT-managed or silent installs.
Installing on macOS
Open the .dmg and drag CrossOff into Applications. The build is signed and notarized by Apple.
Signing each macOS build is a manual step, so it can arrive a little after the other platforms. The download card above shows the version you'll get.
